stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
This quilt was started on retreat with Sue Sharp in France. Our quilt group Jo Blox had a wonderful 3 day break, chatting, stitching, eating, drinking………and I got to drive a tractor! Sue has a beautiful gite and workshop set up, ideal for a relaxing get away.
I chose colours inspired by the “firework” fabric by Paula Nadelstern for Benartex and with the help of this gorgeous blue by Carol Doak for Timeless Treasures kicked outside the purple/mint scheme so it wasn’t too matchy.
Machine quilted with King Tut 903, I’m just finishing the binding two years after I started.
This quilt is also featured “In the Spotlight” on the NYC Metro Mod Quilters blog –
