stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
A little thrifting makes me happy. Finding treasure like these wooden cotton reels, once cast out, now to be displayed and already loved. The labels are still on them so I can read some of their history, J&P Coats, Richardson, Clarks and Star Nylon American Thread Co. – what a collection!
I made the flower coasters using a ball of cotton (rescued of course, no label though) and a crochet pattern by Cara Medus from Mollie Makes magazine. They are so quick and easy I made three to add to my next upcycled shirt cushion cover – watch this space, the shirt has been spied and approved for repurposing.
