Vintage Secret Santa

Secret Santa

Every Christmas our quilt group Jo Blox get together for a fun, girly, meal out. This year we chose The New Flying Horse Pub at Wye, the food was great and the atmosphere warm, friendly and festive. We also always have a draw for our Secret Santa so we can shop for treasures for our special quilter.

Last year we set ourselves the challenge to fill a jar with crafty nic-nacs, this time it was a tin.  It turned out that most of us shopped, then couldn’t fit everything into the tin, so there were a few creative variations on the wrappings!

So look at all the lovely pressies that were in my tin!!!

There is something very special about having such a close group of friends who know you very well.  Nicky must have spent ages trawling (not trolling Lauren, haha) charity shops for these beauties! Vintage OXO tin, buttons, linen and lace, wooden Sylkos, art pottery jug to match my kitchen. The unfinished tray cloth even had the spare threads included, so I have a little project for the holidays.

I’m so lucky, thank you my friends and fellow quilters x
