Oast Quilters with Janet Clare

A lovely Saturday spent with like minded ladies (and a few gents)! Oast Quilters meet six times a year in Canterbury and feature talks and workshops by a variety of home grown and international quilters. We were treated to a talk by Janet Clare who shared her journey as a designer and showed us samples of her early knitted designs and some of her childrens sayings and sketches that she’d included in her quilts.

Janets simple but sensitive designs were a joy to behold and her thread painting workshop was sold out.

There were plenty of traders with yummy fabric

including Smart Frog and Through the Loop from Herne Bay.

and lots of friendly quilters to catch up with 🙂
