Creative Quilting Magazine

Great news! – this new magazine Creative Quilting will be launched at Festival of Quilts, Birmingham next week. It’s beautifully produced and I’m very proud to be included.

It is specifically aimed at using pre-cuts, those lovely bundles we fall in love with and have to have but then don’t quite know what to make with them. That includes fat quarters, eighths, jellyrolls, 5″ charm squares etc.

I was approached by the editor and asked to come up with a few projects using Oakshott pre-cuts.  A quilt from this beautiful spectrum of reds that just leapt off the white background – here’s a sneak preview ……..

and a draught excluder from Lipari minis (2 1/2″ squares) with Newcastle Emma dots as a background.

Festival of Quilts is the largest quilt show in the UK and runs from 8th – 11th August 2013

I love the red and white quilt it’s so pretty. I’m excited to be going to the Festival of Quilts next weekend, can’t wait to see what I find there. 🙂

Thanks, have a great time! If you get a chance to see the Popular Patchwork stand, I have a few quilts on display there too 🙂

It will ship to Australia, Canada and the US, you’ll have to wait a few weeks though. Re: FOQ, sadly just my quilts will be there, maybe I’ll make it there next year!

You’re going to miss the Festival – sad, but you’ll be with us in Rhode Island – not a bad second choice!! And, your red and white is quite beautiful.
