Quilt Market update

Here’s the scoop! Just a few pics of Quilt Market, the trade show before Festival – it’s been CRAZY!

Well done to Timeless Treasures who won Best Creative Booth, yay! This is me with Emily Cohen and Hayden Lees who were the brains behind the set. Nice ribbon ladies!

The sharks were by Michelle Rosca using Sketch fabrics and the swimming shorts make great use of the novelty fabrics by Michael Searle. Those sharks moved around a bit during the show!

This amazing dress was designed by Felix Ciprian (who also designs the windows for Anthropologie)….from Soho Solids.

Brewer were hosting a book signing for “Quilters – Where Women Create” by Jo Packham. I managed to snap this amongst the chaos. Can you count the celebs!

Amy and David Butler, Tula Pink, Kaffe Fassett and Liza Prior Lucy, Hoodie Crescent, Brigitte Heitand. Katie Pasquini Masopust, Amanda Murphy………. and Jo herself

BookSigning

Andover launched their Downton Abbey range which was a huge hit. Some of the series production team there to help with promotion and Nancy at QuiltWoman.com was doing a roaring trade with the quilt pattern.

Heather Bailey won best individual booth and you can see why!

Paula Nadlestern was long arming her quilt right up to the last minute. I wonder if we’ll see this at Festival in a few days time?

Iza Pearl design had this wonderful display that attracted a lot of attention.

There was an intriguing booth called Cotton and Steel which saw the launch of a new brand for RJR with Melody Miller as creative director and Kim Kight, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Sarah Watts and Alexia Albegg as the new, young, founding designers. There were no fabrics!!! – so watch out for these coming soon!

Mandy, everything looks so amazing. I’ve never been to a market, but I’m sure it must be exciting.
