Love the name of this block – haha!
I first made this block in the ’90’s and I asked my fellow Wednesday Night Quilt Buddies to make me one too, you can never have enough half square triangles especially when they remind you of good friends. The block doesn’t look much in itself but when you join four of them together they come to life.
The starting point for this quilt was the little charm square pack I won as a door prize at a guild meeting (lucky me!) The range is Hanky Panky by Darlene Zimmerman.
I added some white on white left over from the Unintentional Quilt and some shirting samples that Janet Clare was selling to raise money for the Alzheimers Society at an Oast Meeting. This is the layout pre-quilting.
The quilt and instructions for this baby quilt are in this months Popular Patchwork Magazine (Feb 2014), there’s also my review of Houston Quilt Festival and lots of pics of the winning quilts 🙂
