Signs of Spring

It stopped raining long enough for me to pop outside and enjoy the garden (quagmire) a little yesterday. It seems spring is on it’s way.

Primrose

A primrose already!

Snowdrops

Snowdrops are always a first but mid January?

Rhubarb

Unexpected 4″ high rhubarb, nibbled already – must clean up the veggie patch!

GreenHellibore

A green Hellebore and a ladybird, this is way too early.

NewTools

New tools at the ready, a little treat in the sales 🙂

Hellibores

More Hellebores, I love the colour they bring so early.

Ceanothus

I hadn’t expected my Ceanothus to be blooming, even though it is well protected. Love my garden but more rain is on it’s way so I’ll be inside again for a while.

You look pretty snowed in. Don’t be too jealous, we have frosts to come and I fear the poor rhubarb will be no more 😦

At least rhubarb is fairly hardy….even with such set-backs (at least ours has always managed to come back from those too early warm days!!).

Hi Mandy, come to Harrogate, it doesn’t rain as much here! Honest. Glad to know you are back for a while.

Happy, happy photos! It’ll be 3-4 months before I see flowers like this in upstate New York!

Goodness your plants are early, my snowdrops are peeping through but nothing like yours. A sign of things to come 🙂
