Quilt Retreat with Jo Blox

One of us was celebrating a big birthday last weekend, a very good reason to book a quilting retreat don’t you think!

Thanks go to Belinda for organizing a fantastic venue in Broadstairs, with space for seven sewing machines, two irons and a beautiful view.

We did get out a little to explore the lovely old town, the wool shop and the haberdashery.

There were also some new shops, I’ve never seen a Vape Bar before.

It rained – a lot, so we mostly stayed in and stitched πŸ™‚

Lots of cutting out was done, there was fabric everywhere – yay!

Lots of stitching was done, the machines got a good workout.

There was much laughter πŸ™‚

(Happy Quilters)

New quilt tops were started and some blocks were stitched together.

(Steph’s Crosses)

(My shabby chic recycled shirts)

There was also a little knitting, crochet and hand stitching going on in the evenings – oh, and the odd glass of wine πŸ™‚

A few projects were finished!

(Teresa’s embroidered and embellished cushion)

Pressies were gifted,

including our sneaky group quilt – SURPRISE!

Happy Birthday, thanks for sharing it!

Such a fun weekend, such lovely friends πŸ™‚

What a fabulous weekend!! Those machines got a great work out. Love Steph’s crosses – my blocks are the same fabric has hers and are all done, just need to put it together. Looks like you had a great time.
