Out and About

This week has been cold and snowy here in the Hudson Valley.

(the view from my window)

Having spent quite a lot of time warm inside I thought I’d take the camera out and explore the village.

I wasn’t out for long, it was freeeeeezing!

Square

This important looking piece of equipment in the main square is probably something to do with the boat building history of the area, I will find out in time.

We got off quite lightly compared with towns on the other side of the river. The power lines are still up thank goodness.

outnabout

Another storm is on it’s way, apparently we’re due another 8 – 10″ on Sunday.

Wrap up warmly and keep quilting x

  2. We’ve moved 36″ so far, with wind chill it was -6 today, and more snow on Monday. It’s definitely winter up here where we are isn’t it? 🙂

My sister lives in the Hudson Valley, too–and she was just as thrilled that the snow missed you all! It’s VERY cold up here in the Adirondacks.

I bet, stay safe. Hope you’re snuggled under a quilt.

Lovely to see a bit of your new neighbourhood, Mandy. We’ve been thinking of you. We have just returned from visiting Marianne in France. Missing the snow…..I hope you can keep your fingers warm inside so you can sew. Love to you both xxxxxx

The snow began here late last eve and now we’re at around 4″-5″+ and it’s supposed to continue til around noon. No church trek this a.m. as the plows are waiting on the ending, I think. I really do hope that the forecast for your areas is totally wrong!!!! Lovely photos, though!!! Stay safe……………..
