stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
This is my version of our group QAL at the first dark border stage. I alternated the cool blue and cream fabrics in the four patches and the warm yellow and multi dot to give the impression of two thinner borders. Stephs “seedhead” green made an appearance too, so that’s all of the seven swapped fabrics included and I won’t be sewing everyone’s binding down 🙂
It’s very exciting to see snippets of everyone’s Sew Happy QALs!
Pogles Wood quilt group kindly sent me some images of their WIP’s and The Forum on Popular Patchwork website has got a group together and they are sharing images there too. Hang on in there girls, it changes again when you get to the ladder borders 🙂 – and I spot that same “seedhead” green in there (Meadow by Beth Studley), such a lovely fabric.
They are all so different!
Jo Blox are making progress with theirs and you can see Nicky’s finished quilt top in March issue in the shops on Monday 9th February.
Oh and a little confession, I was running out of one of my faves so had to piece some of the scraps – hey, it’s OK, it’s patchwork!
Keep warm and Sew Happy!
