The Manos scarf, kettle dyed baby alpaca and pima cotton, it’s so soft, it was a dream to knit with. I used only one of the skeins I bought in Broadstairs, I’ll have to think of what to do with the other one.
(modeled by Marvin)
It has been worn already, cravat style and accepted as “manly enough” due to the army style open weave look (phew).
Two happy Anvil blocks for Victoria, I’ll be taking these along to the Metro Mod Meeting on Saturday.
A little sample for my log cabin class at Emporia, all quilted and made up into a cushion.
If I can get this Bee quilt bound, that will be a finish too. It’s amazing how much you can get done when it snows!
Happy Friday!

Lovely cowl! I like the yarn store in Broadstairs – I once bought 10 balls of silver grey Kidsilk haze there! (It’s the closest LYS to my Dad’s house π)
Ooooh, lucky you, I’ve only been there a few times, small but beautiful yarns and decently priced hooks too!
Lovely makes. I’m housebound for a week as we are in the middle of nowhere and there are ‘car issues’ at the moment. This, after four days of not wanting to risk taking the car down a treacherous snowy and icy hill. I am hoping to get lots of projects finished too – might as well make the most of the inconveniences. I suppose I could give the house a thorough spring cleaning – nah, too early π
Poor you! You’re right, make the best of it and achieve something inside – not cleaning though, or mending, no , no, no! π
I love your work, Mandy! I hope to catch you again soon on one side of the Pond or the other. Best, Sandi K.
It was lovely to meet you Sandi, good luck with the move!
Really like Marvin’s scarf. Just bought some alpaca because it was so soft!
Missed you today Helen, hope you’re well. So you knit too, what will you make?
