stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
I love Kent in the summer, it comes alive. Last weekend we drove around a few local villages, visited some tearooms and farm shops, caught a summer fete, bought local apple juice and strawberries and visited some artists studios.
(Perry Court Farm Shop and Tearoom, Wye. The bunting was made by me – and the cakes are all homemade too :))
The sun shone and the views were stunning. Everything is lush and there are poppies in the fields.
(Badgers Hill Farm, Chilham)
We had a nice lunch outside at Badgers Hill Farm with this chap, a few llamas and some chickens.
(spoils of a day out in Kent)
We visited an antique shop and another farm stall in Chilham, found this old watering can and a few plants.
South East Open Studios is in full swing and I got to visit Ashford Visual Artists in a barn near Woodchurch. I did buy a lovely tile from Jane Richardson too!
I also got to enjoy my garden and plant up my pots when I got back 🙂
Next weekend is the last chance to visit South East Open Studios, I know there are some gardens open for charity and a few more fairs and fetes, may the sun keep on shining, so much to see!
