House Block for Project Linus UK

Last year at Festival of Quilts, I stopped by the Project Linus stand and picked up a handout.

LinusHousePattern

They issued a challenge to make any sort of house block 12 1/2″ unfinished, and provided a paper foundation pieced pattern as a starter for beginners. The houses will be joined by volunteers and made into quilts for sick or disadvantaged children.

So, with FOQ coming up in a few weeks time, I thought I’d better get on with mine!

(I’ve made a start)!

They have asked that we bring the blocks to their stand at this years Festival and I expect they will have another challenge waiting for us for next year!

Festival of Quilts runs from 6th-9th August 2015

What a great project. If I get time, maybe I’ll make one and post it although I’m not a big fan of foundation piecing so I’ll have a search for a different block. I love your spotty theme.

I shall try to make a couple of blocks ready for August, thanks for telling us.

A very happy house! This is a great project – they are so smart to give direction, always makes it easier to participate. This block reminds me of the barns we made way back when with Mary.
