stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
It is Labor Day weekend in the US.
Everyone has an extra day off to go and catch the last of summer before all of the pools and lakes close for the winter.
We went to find our local lake in Rockland. The temperature has been in the nineties so luckily there was a breeze, as I’m rubbish in the heat and would not have been happy away from the air conditioning for too long.
It was beautiful, although swimming was not an option as it was closed due to algae. There was some fishing to be done but nothing caught today.
I settled under the shade of a tree and started some crochet with the cotton dishcloth yarn I didn’t manage to resist in the local thrift store a few days ago.
(That’s my trusty Tesco bag made from recycled plastic bottles underneath).
The weekend was over too quickly but the sun shines on. There is still a few weeks of summer left here!
