stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
Last night we met some good friends for dinner. They have just bought a house near the shore, so I thought I’d make them a little house warming gift.
A few months ago they had kindly donated some cotton shirts for my Shabby Chic upcycled shirt workshop. So I thought it would be a bit of a hoot to make a cushion from one of their favourite shirts and give it back to them 😉
I rescued the label from inside the shirt and added it to the corner to make it look really classy.
Luckily they loved it!
They also had a surprise gift for us. A few months ago they had asked if we had any spare corks as they were making some cork boards up and didn’t have enough. We were only too pleased to off load them to be reused. Most of them were from Champagne and Prosecco, hmmmm……….at least a month of Bubbles Sundays? I wasn’t sure they would be any good.
Surprise! We got them back LOL! Made into a lovely, one of a kind cork board specially for us!
We are so lucky to have such crazy creative friends!
