stitching, quilting, fabric, projects

After the last quilting retreat one of the hubbys slipped up referred to our time away as The AQR. Being smart women we picked up on this opportunity to make it a yearly event and this weekend the plan came to fruition and six escaped to Broadstairs, again.

We all took more UFO’s than we could possibly finish, even with the days starting at 7.15am. This was not preplanned, rather a natural wake up, wander down and start stitching in our jammies while the kettle boils. Fitting in bottles of bubbly, some takeaways and a meal out around the quilting, it was a lovely way to celebrate a few birthdays with special friends.

( just a few of the Jo Blox projects underway)

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen a few more pics (see bottom, right on this page).

Here’s a little inspiration from the entrance hall.

We’re already planning the AQR for next year 🙂

Fabulous! Gotta love a weekend away with the girls sewing. Highlights of my year.

Retreat sounds brilliant, you know things are going well when you bounce up early in the morning inspired to get on with your project.
