Quick Summertime Quilt

These wonderful summery fabrics are by Alice Kennedy for Timeless Treasures.

They’ve got that modern retro vibe going on and I couldn’t wait to play with them.

I put them together in a quick quilt, which would be perfect as a picnic blanket or a baby gift.

The instructions are in July issue of Popular Patchwork magazine along with an interview with Mike Newman of StkrIt. If you’re looking for a modern way to label your quilt, you can read all about this clever idea inside. You scan your label with your phone and record or video a special message to go with your special quilt. Amazing!

What a great labeling idea! And, bringing the technology to the quilting world is so awesome and speaks to quilting being part of our heritage for years to come! Love your little picnic blanket too!

      Thanks Mary Pat X
They have partnered up with Spoonflower to get them printed on fabric, very clever! The magazine have got some to give away too 🙂
