Two weeks holiday!

How amazing is that! We are very lucky to get away quite often but usually for short breaks.

So this was something quite different, lots of lying around enjoying the warmth of the sun in Mauritius. I did some hand sewing and even read a book or two!

This was our beautiful beach. It was a little (very) windy at times, if we’d known it was the kite surfing capital of the world we might have booked another resort. Instead we just relaxed and enjoyed the entertainment of hundreds of colourful kites and Olympic hopefuls honing their skills. Then lazed around the pool using the bar as a wind break 🙂

We took a tour of the capital Port Louis and bought some Pink Pigeon rum in the shopping area.

Visited the Botanical gardens

and admired the gates that were gifted from The Exhibition at Crystal Palace.

Took plenty of photos of the Bul Buls……………..

(this was my best shot, they’re funny little things)

We snorkelled on the coral reefs and spotted some spinner dolphins. Visited a vanilla plantation and generally ate and drank too much.

Bliss!

Now a little catching up to do………………………………
