Catching Up

After a fantastic week in Savannah, I’m in the process of catching up. Catching up first on sleep, although the jetlag wasn’t too bad. Then projects, many in progress that need finishing for deadlines. I have unpacked and done the washing you’ll be pleased to hear and I even did some cleaning – I know!

So this weekend I got some time to stroke my stash/fabric haul and appreciate my new additions. Cotton + Steel, Carolyn Friedlander, Dear Stella, Ink&Arrow, Blueberry Park…….. some a restock of some old favs and some new ones.

Then I went out thrifting in Ashford and Folkestone – just call me two trolleys hehe

– you know I love a good charity shop find. Now I need some chalk paint and somewhere to put it!
And I found some watery coloured yarn and pretty pink needles for an upcoming community project (of which you will be hearing more about in the future).

I’m writing up a review of QuiltCon for Popular Patchwork magazine this week so you’ll get to see some of the lovely quilts there soon. In the meantime I’m going to brag about finding my Lock and Latch quilt on display. I didn’t enter a quilt into the show so was very chuffed to happen upon this in the Pinwheels Oakshott booth 🙂

I know, that trolley! I managed to not buy it (for a while). Then had to go back, and luckily no one had snapped it up. We have a great Pilgrims Hospice furniture shop in Ashford, there is always something great in there.

How exciting to a Mandy Munroe original on display at the show! You should have taken a picture of you with the quilt. So glad you had a good time.
