stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
On my last visit to NYC I popped in to visit Victoria Findlay Wolfe at her new shop. It’s only a tiny place but there was a POW! of colour as I walked in. As we got chatting my eye fell on some of her Mostly Manor stripes. Not your regular stripe, they were going off in every direction – such fun! I asked if they were difficult to work with (a lot of my students say they are nervous about using stripes), and she kindly gave me a bundle to play with.
Along with some fabulous coordinating solids, they came together in this crazy, jazzy quilt and I can report back that they are no trouble at all (in fact they’re rather fun)!
The pattern is inside issue 34 of Quilt Now, out this week in the UK, and it’s on the cover too 🙂
