stitching, quilting, fabric, projects
I’ve been meaning to share a few images of our Annual Quilt Retreat in Broadstairs 2018.
Unfortunately I didn’t take enough pictures of our stitching antics but I do have some pretty images from some of our short walks and explorations.
Broadstairs is a small seaside town that inspired Charles Dickens. It calls us back year on year.
Such a beautiful place, it stayed dry but was incredibly cold in February this year. We had a lovely (bracing) walk along the beach most days and got to see the rockpools at low tide.
We had to admire this mews just off the High Street on our way to the Wool Shop and the Haberdashery.
This wall near Bleak House caught my eye on the walk back from town. Are they reused bricks? Chunks already cemented together from somewhere else?
They have pressed large shells into the wall further round.
One evening we found a cozy bar called Reef and had a drink while we listened to some live music.
This chandelier!! – I really want one of these!!! (sorry it’s slightly out of focus).
A fun weekend 🙂
We really did sew in the daytime, honest!
