Happy Birthday!

Quilt Now magazine 50th birthday issue is out now – Happy Birthday and Congratulations!

This month the quilt magazine market has lost some major publications across the globe, Modern Quilts Unlimited in the US and Australian Patchwork and Quilting have both closed down and of course Popular Patchwork here in the UK. It seems the market is narrowing and paper and printing costs are rising.

SO we must celebrate Quilt Now getting to it’s 50th issue and of course I’m very proud to have a quilt included šŸ™‚

My Mini Chequerboard within a Chequerboard Quilt is made from scraps of BlueberryPark3 by Karen Lewis, Sunprints by Alison Glass and some Cotton+Steel. Really rich colours in contrasting pairs.

It was one of those quilts that started with me playing with some yummy scraps and grew block by block.

So if you fancy making a scrappy slow build quilt, pop out and pick up a copy, you’ll be supporting a great modern quilt magazine!
