You may have spotted these beautiful Sequoia fabrics in the shops already They have a soft, floral, vintage vibe and were designed by Edyta Sitar for Makower UK
I first met Edyta at Quilters Take Manhattan when I was covering the event for Popular Patchwork magazine in 2015
She is a lovely gentle lady who had us giggling about cutting holes in her mothers curtains when she was little. She now designs and makes quite intricate quilts and
you can see some of them here https://www.laundrybasketquilts.com
I’ve designed a speedier quilt, my first for British Patchwork and Quilting magazine
I had fun grouping them into similar hues to create diagonals and I added to the vintage feel by appliqueing some hexagons.
You can find the pattern and a colouring page in the July issue out now!
