Hello, thanks for visiting my blog, I appreciate the Like. You have some beautiful work and should be very proud of yourself. Such a pity I can’t get the English quilting mags in Australia without paying an arm and a leg…

Thanks Kate, have you tried online? – just a thought, I’m sure you can get plenty of lovely Australian ones 🙂

They do, and I get the two best ones, but the English ones have something different about them…

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for liking and commenting on my posts. I’m following you now, since you are a fellow fabric lover! I adore all buttons, embellishments and stitching – and I have tried quilting before with varying degrees of success. I may do so again soon, now that its getting SO cold!

Molly, great post about your Tunisian hook! I’m binding a quilt today and it’s keeping my knees nice and toasty, I’d definitely recommend it!

    Hi Mandy,
This is a bit of a cheeky request. I have just read the Aug/Sept issue of Homemade with Love. In your article (Organiser)I noticed that you have Frister and Rossman 500 sewing machine. I have had my F&R since 1972. It is all still in 1 piece – apart from the instruction manual. Is there any possibility that you still have your manual and could let me have a copy?
Happy to pay photocopy/postage/time etc. A download would be good too.
Can’t seem to find a copy anywhere. Help!!
    Thanks, Jacqui

Hi Jacqui, I’m sorry not to be able to help you. My first machine was a FR, a different model but I no longer have it. The one in the magazine was just for styling.

Hi Mandy, I’ve just joined a group on Facebook called Aussie Hero Quilts and have volunteered (along with a great number of other people) to sew a quilt for an Aussie soldier stationed overseas.

I saw your Shutter Quilt was posted by shiny Happy World on FB this morning, and wondered if you would mind if I make my own version of your Shutter Quilt for an Aussie Hero?

    Thanks so much
    Deb

Hi Deb, no problem at all, the instructions were posted on SewTimeless blog last week. There is a link on the post here on my blog. It’s a quick and easy quilt to make and such fun with so many bright colours. A cheerful choice, well done you!
