This is the beautiful Godinton House and Gardens, near Ashford.
The view as you drive up to the house is stunning.
I’m lucky enough to run workshops there a few times a year and this time it was a Slouchy Bag workshop, by request.
It was a very hot day and although we got out to enjoy the gardens at lunchtime we were glad to get back inside near the fan afterwards.
We managed to get the straps and the bags completed in the day, with just the joining of the two to be completed later. So nearly finished!
This was Anns version using some curtain fabric as the base and adding interest with patchwork prints.
Jane choose birds and blues.
And this was Elaines.
While we were there we got a sneak preview of various sculptures that were being delivered for the Sculpture Show in the Gardens which runs from 26th July to 17th August. I’d recommend a visit, there is so much to see!

They’re all great, but I think I like Elaine’s the best! What a fabulous place to have a workshop at – very envious!!
